Biography

The Austrian-Spanish conductor Teresa Riveiro Böhm is establishing herself as an emerging force in the orchestral and operatic world. The winner of the Neeme-Järvi- Prize at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival in 2019, she has gained significant experience conducting orchestras and opera companies throughout Europe and Australia.

The 24/25 season sees Riveiro Böhm make her English National Opera debut in November, as she leads eight performances of a new production of Donizetti’s Elixir of Love at the London Coliseum. She will also return to Welsh National Opera to conduct performances of Verdi’s Rigoletto in venues across the UK, after her recent success leading the company in their new production of Magic Flute.

Later in the season she will return to BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra after her highly successful debut in 2023, to lead a programme of Bacewicz, Strauss and Rachmaninoff, as well as make debuts with the Symphonieorchester St. Gallen, the Orquesta de Córdoba, the Orquestra Sinfónica Metropolitana, and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
